SOUTH COTABATO RECONSTITUTES PCPC

South Cotabato Governor Daisy P. Avance Fuentes signed Executive Order No. 14, series of 2017, reconstituting the Provincial Council for the Protection of Children (PCPC) of South Cotabato yesterday, March 9, 2017.
The signing of the E.O followed after the passage of the 2015 South Cotabato Children’s Welfare Code last year, said SP member and PCPC Action Officer Ester Marin-Catorce.
Additional members were included in the council as mandated by the signed E.O which includes child representatives from all municipalities and city in the province, muslim and indigenous peoples representatives and Peoples Organizations and Non-Government Organizations representative such as Christian Children’s Foundation and Tribal Leaders Development Foundation, Inc.
DILG OIC-Provincial Director Aurora Andrea De Pedro said, looking for the municipal and city child representatives will be a challenge for the Local Government Units (LGUs) but ensures that the mandate will be followed.
Other members of the council are the following: SP Member and Chairperson of the Committee pm Women, Children’s Welfare and Family Relations, Department of Interior and Local Government Provincial Director, Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer, Provincial Labor and Employment Officer, DepEd South Cotabato and City Division Superintendents, Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator, Provincial Health Officer, Provincial Nutrition Action Officer, Provincial Population Officer, Provincial Agriculture Officer, Philippine National Police Provincial Director, Armed Forces of the Philippines Provincial Commander, Provincial Prosecutor, Provincial Budget Officer, Provincial Treasurer, Provincial Accountant, Provincial Legal Officer, Provincial Information Officer, League of Municipalities of South Cotabato President, Association of Barangay Captains Federation President, Coalition of Social Development Organizations, Save the Children Foundation, Girl South of the Philippines, World Vision, Notre Dame of Marbel University – CCC, Boy Scout of the Philippines, Justice and Peace Desk – Diocese of Marbel, St. Lawrence Orphanage, Women Indigenous Focus Enhancement, Mahintana Foundation, OND-Hesed Foundation, Philippine National Red Cross and South Cotabato Tri-People Gentud Foundatin, Inc.
